Trader Joe’s has recalled 61,000 bottles of sparkling water due to the risk of lacerations.

On March 12, the company announced a recall of Gerolsteiner Sparkling Natural Mineral Water, sold in 750-milliliter glass bottles.

The affected bottles feature a white, blue, and red label with the name ‘Gerolsteiner.’

Consumers can identify the recalled products by checking the lot number on the lower part of the label: 11/28/2024 L or 11/27/2024 L.

These bottles were sold at Trader Joe’s locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas between December 2024 and January 2025.

No injuries have been reported so far. However, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advises consumers to stop drinking from the recalled bottles immediately and return them to the store for a full refund. No proof of purchase is required, but the bottle must be returned.

Anyone experiencing illness or injury after consuming the recalled product should contact their healthcare provider. For further inquiries, customers can reach Trader Joe’s customer relations at 626-599-3817 or submit a request online.

This is not the first time an item from Trader Joe’s has been recalled.

Last February, Trader Joe’s recalled its popular Trader Joe’s Organic Acai Bowl amid fears of plastic contamination.

The recall was made on February 14, with the grocer urging customers to throw away or return the boxes to a Trader Joe’s store for a full refund.

‘Out of an abundance of caution, please discard any Trader Joe’s Organic Acai Bowls, as the product may contain foreign material (plastic), or return them to your neighborhood Trader Joe’s store for a full refund,’ the grocery store chain said in a statement.

The recall did not include information detailing the lot numbers affected or specifying a range of dates when the affected products were produced or sold.

However, customers with questions about the recall were encouraged to call the company’s customer relations.

Trader Joe’s Organic Acai Bowl is a popular frozen item sold by the grocer at just $3.99.

The recall by the supermarket chain comes a year after it had to recall four products that may contain listeria – amid a nationwide outbreak linked to contaminated cheeses.

The grocer recalled its Chicken Enchiladas Verde, Cilantro Salad Dressing, Elote Chopped Salad Kit and Southwest Salad, which all contain cotija cheese.

The announcement was linked to a Food and Drug Administration recall of Rizo-Lopez Foods dairy items, including contaminated cheese, crema, and yogurt.
