Emil Wood, popularly known as 'Nana Tonardo' Emil Wood, popularly known as ‘Nana Tonardo’

Ghanaian actor Emil Wood, popularly known as Nana Tonardo, has shared more details about his longstanding rift with media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, widely known as Delay.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM, Nana Tonardo made several allegations, including revealing that Delay once borrowed money from him to pay actor Umar Krupp after a movie project but refused to refund it.

He also recounted how he used to commute daily from Tema to the set of the popular ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ TV series, which was produced by Delay.

Tonardo said that despite his dedication, he was never paid for his role, which eventually led to his frustration.

“Imagine sacrificing my time and resources, moving from Tema to work on her project, only to be denied my rightful payment and also asked to settle someone else’s debt. I didn’t complain because I considered her family. But with time, I realized she was making money while I was left struggling,” Tonardo said.

He added that things escalated when he and Afia Schwarzenegger decided to visit the mother of Ella, one of the cast members on the show, who was reportedly Delay’s spiritual advisor.

During the visit, Tonardo said the woman allegedly told him that Delay had taken advantage of him and used his hard work to build wealth for herself.

“Delay’s prophetess told me that Delay used my hard work to build a house.” Tornado stated.

The actor added that the situation left him financially unstable to the point where he struggled to pay his child’s school fees.

Tonardo maintained that to this day, he still broods over Delay’s act of deliberately denying him his share of the earnings from the ‘Afia Schwarzenegger’ series.
