Member of Parliament for Klottey-Korle, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has highlighted the significance of the Rainbow Nations Tennis Tournament, indicating that the competition fosters inclusivity, networking, and cross-cultural connections.

She praised the initiative and urged individuals to organise such tournament that aims at impacting community growth.

“This is a brilliant idea, and I wish more people would do that. It creates a nonthreatening atmosphere where people feel safe enough to be a part of something where there is fun and competition,” she stated.

Beyond the sport, Agyeman-Rawlings highlighted how such tournaments contribute to community development, breaking down barriers and offering opportunities for businesses to connect.

“Sports create a platform where there is no barrier in terms of how we relate to each other. I think this is just an extension of that. It’s another way where we build bridges amongst ourselves not only in Ghana but across the continent,” she added.

The fourth edition of the Rainbow Nations Tennis Tournament is set to take place from March 11 to 13 at the Accra Lawn Tennis Club, bringing together 56 players from 23 countries in a celebration of sports, unity, and community development.

All player entrance fees from the tournament will be donated to the ZAR Foundation, which supports various community projects in Klottey-Korle.

The tournament continues to serve as both a competitive sporting event and a force for positive social impact.
