Ghanaian artiste, Mr Drew, has shared his thoughts on what contributes to songs being hit.

While some people think danceable songs easily blow up, Drew thinks otherwise.

The ‘Mood’ singer stated that a good song stands the chance of blowing up even if you are unable to dance to it easily.

“No I don’t share the same opinion that danceable songs blow up so easily because first of all the song has to be a good song.

“Because if the song is not a good one how do we even dance to it in the first place so the first thing you have to look at is having a good song,” Mr Drew was reported to have said in an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM.

He used Fameye’s ‘Very Soon’ song as an example, stating that there was no dance challenge for it but it became a hit.

“A good song comes first because if the song is good, it makes everything easier like Fameye’s song Very Soon,” he said.

“Fameye didn’t do any dance challenge but he had one of the big songs last year so it’s not necessarily about dance but it’s an add-up.

“Very Soon’ did well and it didn’t blow up because it’s danceable but it blew up because the song was good and so I believe that the song has to be good and everything else will follow,” Mr Drew added.
