Ghanaian-born English winger Callum Hudson-Odoi remains optimistic about a potential call-up to the England national team following his impressive form in the Premier League this season.

The Nottingham Forest forward had been on Ghana’s radar since 2022 when his international career with England stalled due to injuries and inconsistent performances.

However, Hudson-Odoi believes a return to the Three Lions is possible if he maintains his current form.

“I’m taking it game by game. No matter what happens—whether I get picked or not—I just have to keep performing and stay consistent. That will take care of itself,” he told Rio Ferdinand on TNT Sports.

“Just taking it one game at a time, and you never know what might happen,” he added.

The 24-year-old last played for England in 2019 at the age of 19.

He was eligible to switch nationality after playing fewer than three competitive matches for England before turning 21.

He secured a Ghanaian passport during the period and was reportedly in the process of pledging allegiance to Ghana, but the move fell through.

Hudson-Odoi has been one of Nottingham Forest’s standout players this season, helping in their push for European football.

He has scored five goals and provided two assists, including match-winning strikes against Liverpool and Manchester City.
