Entertainment pundit Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, popularly known as KOKA, has slammed the Ashanti Regional Minister Frank Amoakohene following some recent happenings during his engagement with some Kumawood actors.

Frank Amoakohene, recently inaugurated a 17-member committee as part of his promises to revive the Kumawood as part of the Black Star Experience.

Prior to that, he outlined his commitment to reviving and completing key development projects, with the Asanteman Development Fund as his primary initiative.

He also emphasised his commitment to ensuring that the Ashanti Region receives its fair share of youth development, among other promises.

However, KOKA in a recent discussion on Adom TV on March 9, 2025, noted that the minister’s constant promises, particularly to creatives are unnecessary.

Tackling his meeting with the Kumawood actors, KOKA emphasised that the regional minister should focus on his responsibilities and stop interfering in matters meant for the creative industry.

“Ashanti regional minister should relax with his constant promises. The promises he is making to the creatives are jobs meant for other people. Some people are responsible for doing such work so leave it for them and stop being followed with cameras. All I am saying is he is spoiling our work,” he said.

KOKA also quizzed the Presidential Staffer in charge of the Black Star Experience, Rex Omar, about his achievements so far.

He made reference to the recent press conference organised to promote the Black Star Experience, describing it as an embarrassment due to poor planning.

“They said there will be something that will happen every day with regards to the Black Star Experience yet we haven’t seen anything so far. All that they do is meet and greet and also big press conferences that they don’t even share food. It was shambolic and full of embarrassment,” he added.
