Renowned Ghanaian dancehall musician, Samini is set to release a brand new single titled “Chaana” on March 13, 2025.

The song is expected to feature South African music group, Soweto Gospel Choir.

It was also disclosed in a press statement issued on March 4, 2025, that the song is first off Samani’s forthcoming “Originba” album.

According to the management of the artiste, the song blends Samini‘s authentic style with rich African influence and the local dialect of the musician.

“Chaana which translates to shine is a powerful Afro Pop anthem designed to uplift and inspire Africans, reminding them of their limitless potential and resilience.

“The song blends Samini‘s signature style with rich African influence, incorporating the Wale dialect WA- the Upper West Region of Ghana where Samini hails” parts of the statement read.

Per the release, the song is also a blend of both Swahili and Wala as a sign of cultural fusion between the Soweto Gospel Choir and Ghana’s Samini.

“The Soweto Gospel Choir will deliver in Swahili. This linguistic and cultural fusion creates a truly Pan-African sound that resonates with the spirit of unity and progress,” the statement read.
