Popular musician Sista Afia has clapped back at critics accusing her of undergoing surgery to enhance her body.

According to her, such claims are fueled by “hunger” and “jealousy.”

In an interview with DJ Slim on Hitz FM, the Jeje hitmaker addressed the ongoing speculation about her body, stating that her curves are natural and a result of her growth over the years.

“Most of them are just people who don’t have anything to eat. So when they see someone looking good, they get jealous.

“When I was growing up, I always wanted to have a nice body and all that. But then, you meet people with nice bodies, and in your mind, you think they’ve done something, but the truth is, you’re just broke,” Sista Afia said.

She expressed frustration over the assumptions people make about celebrities, particularly regarding body enhancements.

“It’s crazy, especially when you’re a celebrity. They don’t even know what procedure you want to do. There are a lot of procedures out there, not just going under the knife. There are many healthy ways to achieve that,” she added.

The singer, known for her bold personality, also addressed comments about her body shape, stating that she has always been curvy and has never undergone surgery.

“My belly is still big. My boobs are still big. I’ve always been a curvy girl. I’ve always been a thick girl. I’m growing, and this is 2025. I am not the same girl you used to know. It’s still me,” she said.
