The Ghana Police Service have arrested the girlfriend of Daniel Febiri, also known as Braima, the prime suspect in Nana Pooley’s murder case, Asante Kotoko have confirmed.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Asante Kotoko stated that the girlfriend, identified as Grace Siaw, has been remanded for aiding Braima’s escape.
Braima, who remains at large, is believed to be in Senegal after fleeing through Ivory Coast following his designation as a wanted person by the police.
According to Kotoko, Grace Siaw is set to reappear in court today, March 3, 2025, after an initial appearance on February 25, 2025.
“The police have in their custody one Grace Siaw, a girlfriend of Daniel Febiri, a.k.a. Braima, a.k.a. Ashi, a.k.a. Rasta, who concealed the suspect between February 4 and 17 and assisted him in fleeing to Senegal through Côte d’Ivoire. She was brought to court on February 25 and was remanded. She is scheduled to appear in court today, and we are awaiting proceedings,” Kotoko stated.
Meanwhile, the family of Braima have expressed their commitment to assisting the police in his arrest.
“The family is saying if he has done it, he has to face the consequences. So, the family is not supporting him in running away. No. We are all searching, helping, and looking everywhere to locate him so that he can explain his reasons for doing this,” Braima’s brother told Sunyani-based Ark FM.
“If he did it, then he must come forward and tell the whole world why. We are hearing different things in Nsoatre, and many people thought I was the one Ghana Police arrested,” he added.

Pooley, a staunch Asante Kotoko fan, was stabbed to death during a league game between Nsoatreman and Kotoko on Sunday, February 2, 2025, in Nsoatre.
After multiple arrests in connection with the case, Police declared Braima as the prime suspect in the case.
