Danny List, a Ghanaian professional golfer, has expressed his determination to maintain his ranking ahead of the forthcoming DP World Tour season.

The 26-year-old golfer is among the top players in the world and is keen on securing his tour card, which he considers one of his greatest achievements since beginning his career at a young age.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra, List said, “As long as I have a successful DP World Tour season, I will maintain my card for next year and stay on the tour with some good results.”

He revealed that retaining his status as one of the world’s top-ranked golfers would be a milestone worth celebrating.

Regarded by many as West Africa’s number one golfer, List recalled some challenging moments in his journey, including battling back to the top after suffering an injury.

Despite these challenges, he remains focused on becoming a world champion, winning major championships, and promoting the growth of golf in Africa.

“Golf requires a lot of experience, and I am very pleased with where I am at this point. I feel like I still have a long way to go,” he said.

He also urged the government to invest in golf, which is gradually gaining acceptance among Ghanaians.

Through his foundation, List aims to empower young golfers and enthusiasts in Ghana and West Africa by providing a world-class avenue for learning, practice, and excellence.

Unlike his predecessors, List’s journey is one of global roots, perseverance, and an unwavering passion for the game.

In Ghana, his success is celebrated by his community and the over 40 junior golfers supported by his foundation. Recognizing the challenges of golf accessibility, the professional golfer is committed to providing equipment, resources, and inspiration for the next generation.
