The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has appointed Dr. Emmanuel Adu Sarkodie, Group Chief Executive of CDH Financial Holdings Limited, as its patron.

An avid tennis player and football enthusiast, Dr. Sarkodie has long been a pillar of SWAG, supporting various sports disciplines and contributing to their growth. Over the years, he has played a key role in the development and promotion of sports in Ghana.

Mr. Kwabena Yeboah, President of SWAG, together with other board members, engaged Dr. Adu Sarkodie on his new role as patron of the association.

He noted that the decision to confer the position on Dr. Sarkodie was made in consultation with SWAG’s patrons, who recognized his impact on both the Ghanaian economy and the country’s sports landscape.

Mr. Yeboah further described Dr. Sarkodie as someone with the potential to contribute significantly to the growth of SWAG and sports in general.

A long-standing sponsor of the SWAG Awards, Dr. Adu Sarkodie expressed gratitude for the honour and pledged his commitment to supporting the association’s efforts in promoting and developing sports in Ghana.
