    Published: 05:35 EST, 27 February 2025 | Updated: 10:26 EST, 27 February 2025

The hunt for Australia’s newest multi-millionaire is on after Thursday night’s Powerball jackpot went off.

The jackpot soared to $30million after it failed to go off for two consecutive weeks.

    The winning numbers for Powerball draw 1502 were 26, 22, 7, 35, 1, 11 and 25. The Powerball was 3.

One winning ticket claimed the jackpot to become the third division one Powerball winner of 2025.

Another 26 winners each pocketed a $23,197.80 division two windfall while 70 third division winners each took home $10,712.20.

Earlier this month, a Queensland retiree claimed the $60m jackpot.

‘Oh wow! You’re kidding. No way. It’s after 9pm but this calls for a bottle of champagne!’ the shocked winner told The Lott officials.

‘Is that real? I can’t stop laughing. Holy s***! I’ve won $60 million?’

Aussies are scrambling to find their tickets after Thursday night’s Powerball $20million draw

‘Now my wife can’t stop laughing too. She’s in shock!

‘No joke, I was just drifting off to sleep dreaming about what it would be like to win the lotto – all the things I could do.’

He planned to share his windfall with his nearest and dearest.

‘I’ll be able to help a lot of people with this,’ he said.

‘I’ve got kids that I can help and plenty of friends doing it tough.’

A Melbourne dad became the first Powerball winner of 2025 last month when he took home the entire $20m jackpot.

It comes after a Sydney woman pocketed the $100million Oz Lotto jackpot earlier this week to become the biggest Oz Lotto winner in the game’s 31-year history and Australia’s third-largest lottery winner ever.

    The winning numbers for Powerball draw 1502 were 26, 22, 7, 35, 1, 11 and 25. The Powerball was 3.

The Lott recorded 422 division one winners in 2024, including 19 Powerball entries which pocketed more than $758 million in prize money.

During this time, Powerball offered a $200m jackpot, the biggest in Australian history, and an Adelaide man who won $150m became the nation’s biggest individual lottery winner.

Of the 19 Powerball division one winning entries in 2024, eight were from NSW, six in Victoria, three in Queensland and one each in South Australia and Western Australia.

The next Powerball draw on March 6 is worth $10million.
