Okyeame Kwame is rooting for King Paluta to win the Artiste of the Year.

The popular Ghanaian rapper in a recent Facebook post named Paluta as Artiste of the Year.

He, however, did not mention any award scheme in his post.

The Rap Doctor made this pronouncement after sharing a visualizer of King Paluta’s latest song ‘Magic’—off his ‘Give Time Some Time’ Album.

“Artiste of the year. Signed, sealed, delivered. And he is wearing the love equation by ok. Medaase,” Okyeame Kwame wrote.

His post has sparked mixed reactions. Some argued that Kofi Kinaata, King Promise and Stonebwoy rather deserve to win Artiste of the Year.

Those who commented also think Okyeame Kwame was referring to the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).

Meanwhile, the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) are yet to unveil nominees for this year’s edition.

Before an artiste will win Artiste of the Year at the TGMA, he/she must have been very popular and released a successful song, EP, or album. A nominee in this category also needs to receive several nominations.

In 2024, King Paluta dropped popular songs such as ‘Aseda’, ‘Makoma,’ and ‘Pop Champagne’. He also dished out an album titled ‘Give Time Some Time’.
