Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that he is proud of his club’s achievements despite their abysmal performance in the 2024/2025 season.

According to him, the club’s unprecedented feat of winning the Premier League four times consecutively is a record that will be difficult for any team to break.

The Spanish manager emphasized that Manchester City’s achievement of winning the most competitive league in the world with 100 points will stand the test of time.

“No one is going to win with 100 points and four-in-a-row in the Premier League. It’s not going to happen in my lifetime, I’m sorry!” he said during an interview with SkySports.

The Catalan coach took over the English club in 2016 and has won the Premier League six times, with four consecutive titles from 2020 to 2023.

Guardiola has had a poor season, with his side seemingly out of the Premier League title race after accruing 44 points from 26 matches, trailing league leaders Liverpool by 20 points.

In the UEFA Champions League, Manchester City were thrashed 6-3 by Real Madrid, resulting in their elimination at the play-off stage.

Despite these setbacks, Guardiola believes that injuries to key players, including 2024 Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, have depleted his side.
