After a nine-year hiatus, legendary Ghanaian gospel artiste Mama Esther has made a triumphant return with her soul-stirring single, ‘Nyame Nye Mistake,’ meaning ‘God Does Not Make Mistakes.’

This release marks her reentry into the music scene and affirms her commitment to inspiring faith and resilience through her music.

Mama Esther, known in private life as Deaconess Esther Boakye-Duah, has been a cornerstone in Ghana’s gospel music landscape for decades. Her journey began in the early 2000s, and she became renowned for her powerful vocals and heartfelt, catchy lyrics.

Among the many hits Mama Esther has blessed the world with are ‘Me Judge Akasa,’ ‘Kyekyere No,’ ‘Ka Asempa,’ ‘Goliath Bekor,’ ‘Waye Lucky,’ and ‘Me Lazarus Besore.’ Her songs have become timeless anthems, resonating deeply with audiences and solidifying her status as a beloved figure in the gospel community.

With ‘Nyame Nye Mistake,’ Mama Esther offers a poignant message of trust and surrender to divine will. The song’s lyrics encourage listeners to find solace in the belief that every life event unfolds according to a higher purpose, even when circumstances are challenging.

Mama Esther featured her daughter Ella (the child she had after ten years of barrenness) on the track. Ella was also featured on Mama Esther’s hit song ‘Me Lazarus Besore.’

Reflecting on her return to the music scene, Mama Esther shared, “This song is a testament to the faithfulness of God. After nine years away, I felt a profound calling to remind people that, regardless of our struggles, we are part of a divine plan.”

The release has been met with enthusiasm from fans and fellow musicians alike, all celebrating the return of a voice that has long been a source of inspiration and comfort.
