Ghanaian media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, has reacted to claims that she is rude.

She denied being rude in a recent interview.

The popular media personality rebutted that she is just a confident person—and not rude.

“I hear that all the time, and I don’t apologise for it. I don’t render any apologies for it. I don’t know why anybody will say I’m rude because I just like to tell things as they are. In a measured way, most of the time I’m polite.

“But my politeness is sometimes hidden in a very subtle and sarcastic way. I hear people say that I’m rude. I’m not rude; I’m just a very confident person,” she said in a Joy Prime interview.

According to her, many women are not confident because they are afraid of being tagged as rude.

In this regard, she hopes to help and empower women through her Women of Valour initiative.

“The problem is that women are sometimes afraid to say what they can do because they think people will say they’re too knowing and want people to see that they can do this or that, but there’s nothing wrong with it because that’s what you can do.

“This is what I’m capable of doing, and this is what I’m bringing to the table when you employ me. So, there’s a confidence issue with a lot of our ladies,” Nana Aba Anamoah stated.
