Enoch Eshun, a Level 100 student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), who has been unable to sit for the past five years due to a rare medical condition, has received a heartwarming surprise from a benevolent businessman.

In a recent interview with ZionFelix, Enoch shared his emotional story, revealing that he was diagnosed with Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) at the age of two.

Enoch recounted how his father, after realizing that hospital medications were not helping, turned to traditional medicine, but this only worsened his condition.

He added that in search of a cure, they visited fetish priests and pastors, yet none of these efforts yielded any positive results.

Despite his situation, Enoch, who remained cheerful throughout his interview, revealed that for about five years now, he has been unable to sit.

He stressed that his condition worsened after an accident involving a rickshaw (pragyia) that hit a pothole, further affecting his waist.

According to him, since then, he has relied on others to help him lie down, and he can only travel in taxis to accommodate his standing posture.

As medical experts continue to search for a cure for his condition, a life-changing event unfolded earlier today, February 20, 2025.

Enoch was gifted a brand-new car by Berma Yaw Amponsah Marfo, the CEO of All “Yesu Dea” VIP Buses.

The wealthy philanthropist disclosed that he came across Enoch’s story after a friend, who is a customs officer, sent him the video.

Deeply moved by what he saw, he felt compelled to extend a helping hand. He also gave the mother of Enoch the some of Ghc20,000 to invest in her business and prayed that God should bless her for standing by her standing through it all.

In an emotional moment, Enoch and his mother, along with other relatives, received the car and money from Berma Yaw Amponsah Marfo.

The kind gesture left them overwhelmed with gratitude, as this gift will significantly improve Enoch’s mobility and ease some of the challenges he faces.

FOP according to online sources is a rare genetic disorder in which the body’s muscle tissue and connective tissues, such as tendons and ligaments, gradually turn into bone.

This abnormal bone growth restricts movement, leading to a severe loss of mobility over time. According to the Cleveland Clinic, symptoms of FOP often begin in childhood, affecting the neck and shoulders before spreading to other parts of the body.
