Ghanaian singer and songwriter, J.Derobie, has shared his regret about the fame that came with his music career.
In an interview on ‘Daybreak Hitz’ on February 17, 2025, he revealed how tiring it can be to not have the freedom to do simple things due to constant recognition.
“You don’t have your freedom, and people recognize you everywhere you go. Sometimes I just don’t mind too much because if you focus on it too much, you’ll feel boxed and stressed. So, I try not to worry about the fame these days,” the artiste explained.
He added, “Sometimes, when I want to buy wakye, people around want to buy it for me, but I’ll say no, I want to go myself.”
The “Poverty” hitmaker was also asked about his aspirations when he first gained fame.
He then expressed that he always imagined reaching the top and winning a Grammy.
“I imagined me heading to the top, and I still have that dream of winning a Grammy. Whatever happens, I believe we are still on the right path to the top. My focus is just on putting out good work,” he said.
