A medical doctor by the name of Dr. Richard Chukwuwuezi tragically passed few days after he was denied sick leave by his place of employment.
The young had requested that he be excused for some days due to the serious cough and chest pain he was experiencing had the time, but unfortunately, his request had not been granted.
Ranting to a close colleague he had revealed his frustrations.
He wrote;
“I am having serious cough and chest pain.I wanted to take sick leave , Dem no gree”
Unfortunately, the doctor would later pass, causing grief for his loved ones, friends, and colleagues. One of his colleagues shared his story, condemning the Nigerian health sector for its negligence.
The story has caused outrage, with Nigerians demanding justice for the young doctor, although the name of the hospital where he worked was not disclosed.
