Former Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara has advised Minister of Sports and Recreation Kofi Adams to seek guidance from Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, on sporting issues.

He stated that Ayariga’s brief stint as sports minister has equipped him with the necessary knowledge and experience to tackle challenges in football and other disciplines.

The former GFA spokesperson highlighted Ayariga’s contribution to the team’s performance in the 2015 AFCON, where they reached the finals.

“I urge Kofi Adams to consult Mahama Ayariga, who has experience working as sports minister. After the scandal in Brazil, Ayariga worked closely with the GFA and other ministries to secure funding for the Black Stars.

“He was also with the team during the AFCON qualifiers and the 2015 AFCON finals. These are the people Kofi Adams should consult, and I believe he will succeed if he does,” he said during an interview with Sporty FM.

Sannie Daara also cautioned Kofi Adams to be mindful of his public comments to avoid implicating himself on critical issues.

“Kofi Adams must be careful with his words to avoid trouble. He should consult properly before speaking,” he added.

Kofi Adams was recently approved as the Minister of Sports and Recreation by the parliamentary Appointments Committee after a successful vetting.
