    The Minister of Sports and Recreation-designate, Kofi Adams, has expressed concern over the uncertainty surrounding Black Stars coach Otto Addo’s future.

    Despite the intense criticism following Ghana’s failure to qualify for the 2025 AFCON, the GFA’s Executive Council voted to retain him.

    In an effort to revitalize the team ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Addo’s technical team has undergone significant changes.

    However, Adams has raised concerns about doubts surrounding Addo’s performance, including those expressed by some players.

    Speaking on Sporty FM, the Member of Parliament for the Buem constituency acknowledged the ambiguity regarding Addo’s tenure and revealed that it has caused some players to lose confidence in him.

    “The future of Otto Addo is a matter of concern to me. The uncertainty over whether he stays or not is not just an issue for the non-playing body—that is what concerns me the most,” he said.

    “Not just the fans but the engagements, I have had goes beyond that to even the playing body and some members of the GFA, both current and former.”
