A Nigerian man has been apprehended after faking his kidnap and demanding Twenty Thousand Naira for ransom from his family.
The incident which was made known to the general public via X (Twitter) has garnered different reactions.
A video that accompanied the post that was shared about the man’s ordeal captured the man being punished after his plan was exposed.
A caption attached to the clip read; “Why will you kidnap yourself and ask for 20K ransom, very upcoming kidnapper”
The post which has now gone viral has generated different reactions from internet users.
While some claimed that the young man deserved to be punished for pulling that kind of stunt others wondered what he intended to do with the money.
