Southampton manager Ivan Jurić has given the Saints a significant boost ahead of their trip to Ipswich, confirming that winger Kamaldeen Sulemana is available for selection.

The Ghanaian winger was ruled out of Southampton’s 3-1 defeat to Newcastle on Friday, January 24, 2025, with Jurić revealing that he was dealing with a hamstring issue.

Despite the concerns surrounding hamstring injuries, Sulemana has shaken off the setback and is fit to start against Ipswich on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, Jurić confirmed that the winger had trained with the team and could be in contention for selection.

“Kamaldeen and Dibling trained today with us, and they will be with us for Ipswich,” Jurić said.

Sulemana’s time at Southampton has been hampered by injuries, with the 22-year-old spending nearly three months on the sidelines this season.

However, he appears to have regained his rhythm since the appointment of Juric. The Ghanaian has made 11 appearances for the Saints in the 2024/25 season but is yet to register a goal or assist in the league.

He has, however, found the net in the FA Cup, offering a glimpse of his potential when fully fit.

Southampton currently sit at the bottom of the 2024/25 Premier League table, having amassed just six points from 23 games. They face a tough challenge in their battle to avoid relegation.
