The 2024/2025 UEFA Champions League knockout phase playoff draw has set up some intriguing matchups for the new playoff format.
A total of eight games have been scheduled for the playoff round, with all matches set to be played on a home-and-away basis.
Manchester City will face Real Madrid, Brest will take on Paris Saint-Germain, Celtic will play Bayern Munich, Feyenoord will meet AC Milan, Club Brugge will go up against Atalanta, Sporting will face Borussia Dortmund, AS Monaco will take on Benfica, and Juventus will face Benfica.
Reigning English champions Manchester City’s tie against reigning UCL champions Real Madrid stands out as the biggest fixture of the playoffs.
City will host the first leg at the Etihad Stadium before travelling to the Santiago Bernabéu for the second leg.
This will be the fourth consecutive meeting between the two teams in the last four UCL campaigns.
Real Madrid have eliminated City in two of their previous three knockout-stage encounters.
