Media personality MC Yaa Yeboah has insisted that the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame A Plus, is not the father of her child.

In an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM on January 30, 2025, Yaa Yeboah, who has repeatedly shut down these claims recently, once again labeled them as unpleasant and unfounded.

She emphasised that the public should stop targeting young, rising female journalists with such’ baseless’ rumours.

“Recently, there were rumours speculating that A Plus is the father of my daughter. That is unpleasant because when I went to America, someone even approached me with the same question. It’s a baseless rumour and not true.

“It is a cycle in the media space because when Ghanaians notice that a young woman is rising in the media space, someone will tarnish the person’s image by tagging their children to some famous people. I am a grown woman, and I make decisions for myself, and I will take accountability for my decisions, so these rumours are unpleasant,” she said.

When asked why she had not taken legal action for defamation all this while, Yaa Yeboah said she initially felt it would be a waste of time.

However, upon further reflection, she now intends to take legal action against those responsible.

“I wanted to take such people to court and after careful thought, I realised it would be a waste of resources. I decided to let it go at the time, but moving forward, I will pursue legal redress. Most of these people spreading the rumours live abroad, in places like the UK and the USA,” she added.
