Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey, who also serves as the newly appointed CEO of Ghana COCOBOD, has addressed concerns about how he plans to balance his responsibilities at COCOBOD, the Ghana Football Association (GFA), and Heart of Lions.
His appointment as CEO of COCOBOD by President John Mahama came just days after he was named Chairman of the Black Stars Committee.
His appointment led to questions about his ability to handle multiple high-profile roles simultaneously.
However, in an interview with Citi Sports, Dr. Abbey dismissed concerns about being overwhelmed, explaining that while he owns Heart of Lions, he is not involved in the club’s daily operations.
“I don’t run Heart of Lions on a day-to-day basis. I’m the owner, and it ends there. I’m the president of the club, but there are people who manage it,” he clarified.
