Kumawood actor, Abraham Kofi Davis, popularly known as Salinko, has called on fellow creatives to hold President John Dramani Mahama accountable instead of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie.

In a discussion on Onua Showtime, Salinko noted that Abla Dzifa Gomashie will only perform administrative functions in the ministry. He explained that John Mahama is the only person who can implement policies that will positively affect the creative arts industry and not the Minister of Tourism.

“I know that by the end of John Mahama’s four years, we will still come back here and have the same conversation… If we want someone to do something for us in the creative arts industry, then we should focus on Mahama because Dzifa will only head the ministry. When Mark Okraku Mantey was the Deputy Minister, what did he do for the creative arts industry? I checked and he did nothing for us,” he said.

Salinko further called on President John Dramani Mahama to involve private sector developers in the creative arts industry.

According to him, such an initiative can prevent time wasting when policies need to be implemented.

“I know John Dramani Mahama has the creative arts industry at heart, so I will call on him to give us private sector developers so we can work with them directly without necessarily having to go through Dzifa Gomashie or any other bureaucracy,” he added.

@onuaonline There is no better achievement done by the creative art industry unless numerous conferences. W should rather send our plights to President Mahama instead of the Minister. – Salinko, Actor #OnuaTV #OnuaShowtime #OnuaShowtimewithMcBrown ♬ original sound – onuaonline
