    A young Nigerian lady has taken to X (Twitter) to report her father to the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) for assaulting her mother.

    The lady who identifies as @raquelnotnyce mentioned that her father married her mother when he was 35 and she was 16.

    She went on to mention that her father had resorted to assaulting her mother by biting her in the face and trying to machete her.

    The lady who believed to have done the right thing by reporting her father to the right authorities revealed that her brothers and father’s side of the family claimed that she went too far.

    A part of her tweet read;

    “All she did was be supportive. You stressed her since you married her, now you want to kill her so you can sell your daughters? Lol, You’ll be lonely sir.

    Since I reported, my brother has been mad at me. My dad’s side of the family said I went too far Apparently, my dad biting my mom’s face and carrying a machete to kill her isn’t far. Plus the usual “she must’ve provoked him” They can hold their son while I hold my mom.

    Tbh I cried when she said “I’m done with this marriage” on the phone when she called me. I felt so happy because I had constantly pointed out red flags and told her how her “support” would comeback to haunt her. She’s with her brother while I raise money for an apartment.”
