Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central in Ghana’s Western Region, recently hosted Hon. Maureen Hinda-Mbuende, the Deputy Finance Minister of Namibia, during her official visit to Ghana.

The discussions centered on opportunities within the gold industry, a sector where Hon. Gyan Cudjoe has considerable expertise as a gold exporter and miner. Both leaders explored strategies to harness natural resources for economic growth in Ghana and Namibia, highlighting the potential for mutual benefits.

In addition to economic prospects, the dialogue emphasized the importance of fostering African unity. Key issues such as empowering the youth, supporting micro and small enterprises, and driving sustainable development were at the forefront of their discussions.

“As women leaders, we are committed to contributing meaningfully to the advancement of our countries and championing initiatives that promote sustainable development,” Hon. Gyan Cudjoe stated.

The meeting was described as inspiring, with both leaders expressing optimism about translating their discussions into impactful collaborations that will benefit the people of their respective nations and the African continent as a whole.
