The Dadekotopon Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended warm congratulations to Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, on his appointment as minister-designate for Defence by President John Dramani Mahama.

In a statement signed by Dzifa Gunu, the Constituency Secretary, the leadership and members of the constituency expressed excitement and pride in Dr. Omane Boamah’s appointment.

They highlighted his invaluable contributions to the party, particularly in his role as Director of Elections, and commended his dedication and work ethic.

“We are particularly thrilled by this appointment as a constituency, having lived and worked with him as Director of Elections of the National Democratic Congress, and having experienced his remarkable work output,” the statement read.

The constituency leadership expressed confidence in Dr. Omane Boamah’s ability to excel in his new role as Defence Minister.

They noted the symbolic significance of his appointment, given that Dadekotopon is home to the military high command and the Ministry of Defence.

“Coincidentally, the constituency is also the home to the military high command and the Ministry of Defence, and this can only be seen as one being asked to look over the affairs of his own community,” they added.

“On behalf of the Member of Parliament, the Constituency Chairman, the constituency executives, branch executives, and the entire party grassroots, we say a big thank you to President John Dramani Mahama for this honour and a warm congratulations to Dr. Omane Boamah on his appointment.”
