The President of newly-promoted Ghana Premier League club, Young Apostles, Samuel Anim Addo, has expressed optimism about a policy proposed by Minister-designate of Food and Agriculture, Eric Opoku.

During his ministerial vetting on Monday, January 20, 2025, Eric Opoku outlined plans to involve Senior High School students in planting crops on their campuses. This initiative aims to boost food production and contribute to food security in Ghana.

Samuel Anim Addo, sharing his thoughts via a post on X, praised the policy as a significant step toward achieving food security and fostering economic development. However, he also emphasized the importance of proper implementation while offering words of encouragement to the minister-designate.

“This is a game-changer project that will help our economy significantly if well executed. Wishing him all the best,” Addo tweeted.

If approved by the vetting committee, Eric Opoku will assume the role of Minister for Food and Agriculture under the John Mahama administration.
