Ghana international, Mohammed Salisu was in action for AS Monaco on Friday January 1 when the team suffered a 2-1 defeat to Montpellier in the French Ligue 1.7, 2025.

The strong defender started in the heart of his team’s defence as the side hoped for a win away from home to end their three-game losing streak.

Although Salisu will play the entire duration of the contest and impress with a 7-1 rating, he endured defeat with his AS Monaco teammates at full-time.

In the match, AS Monaco scored first when Lamine Camara assisted Thilo Kehrer to score after 32 minutes.

That goal separated the two teams at halftime before Montpellier rallied from behind to complete a delightful comeback victory.

It was all thanks to the heroics of Mousa Al-Tamari who netted a brace to earn the three points for the hosts.

The defeat means Mohammed Salisu and his AS Monaco side are winless in the last four matches.

The team will need to regroup and correct their mistakes in hopes of getting back to winning ways in the next outing.
