A man who kidnapped and sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl has been jailed for life.
Adam Baillie kidnapped the young girl on her way home from primary school in Harrow.
He then took her to his property where he seriously sexually assaulted her.
The victim escaped and was helped by neighbours who called the police.
At Harrow Crown Court yesterday, the 39-year-old was found guilty of kidnap and sexual assault of an 11-year-old girl who was not known to him.
Baillie, of Spring Way, Harrow, was also convicted of actual bodily harm.
He was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 10 years.
PC Georgia Devaney-Brighton, who was the Sexual Offences Investigative Techniques Officer in the investigation, said: ‘Today we achieved justice for this courageous girl and I hope the severity of the sentence can provide some comfort to her and her family.
