Ghanaian media personality, Serwaa Amihere, has urged young people, especially women, to carefully consider the long-term effects of the choices they make when growing up.
Speaking at a recent event, Serwaa highlighted how decisions made during youth often resurface later in life, bringing rewards or challenges. Drawing from her own experiences, she reflected on a tumultuous period in 2024 that tested her emotional strength. While she did not directly reference an explicit viral video involving her and Henry Fitz, she acknowledged the lasting impact of that chapter.
“Every decision you make—every step you take—can come back to you three, four, or seven years later. For me, that’s exactly what happened last year,” she shared.
Serwaa revealed the emotional toll of the experience, admitting, “I was depressed, actually. Many of you didn’t see it, but I cried. It was one of the most difficult periods of my life, and it taught me a lot about the importance of the choices we make.”

Addressing the youth, the GHOne TV presenter emphasized the importance of making deliberate and thoughtful decisions. She cautioned that even seemingly insignificant actions could have far-reaching consequences.
“To the young ones here, please be extremely cautious and intentional with your decisions. I’m not old, but I’m older than many of you, and I’ve learned that the choices we make today can come back to haunt—or help—us in the future,” she advised.
Serwaa Amihere further thanked a close confidant, “Auntie Bobia” – who provided much-needed support during her darkest moments.
“She took me out for ice cream and a drive, reminding me to keep embracing life despite the hardships,” Serwaa recalled.
