According to a story by Modern Ghana Today, Volta Region locals were shocked when a famous businessman, Mr. Samuel Kudzo, was found killed inside his home just days after returning from a vacation to London.

The awful discovery was made on Friday morning, when neighbors noted a strange silence around his normally lively home.

According to the Volta Regional Police, Mr. Kudzo, who was in his late 40s, returned to Ghana earlier this week following a month overseas on business.

He was well-known in the community for owning several businesses and actively participating in local development efforts.

According to police accounts, the businessman’s body was recovered in the living room, showing clear signs of struggle.

“The bruises on his neck suggested he had been strangled. “We also discovered broken furniture, indicating that there may have been a fight before his death,” said Police Inspector Joseph Tetteh, who is overseeing the inquiry.

Madam Afia Mensah, a neighbor, said she last saw Mr. Kudzo on Wednesday evening.

“He appeared pleasant and greeted us warmly as usual. I can’t believe he’s left. “He was a kind man who helped many people in this community,” she remarked with tears in her eyes.

Another resident, Kwame Dela, stated that they became suspicious after discovering that Mr. Kudzo’s residence was shut during the day.

“We tried to call him, but his phone was turned off. “That’s when we notified the police,” he explained.

When the police arrived, they broke into the residence and discovered Mr. Kudzo dead on the floor. Initial findings reveal that the assailants got access through a smashed back window.

“This is an obvious case of murder, and we are treating it as such. “We are working tirelessly to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice,” Inspector Tetteh informed the people.

The police also revealed that other personal belongings, including Mr. Kudzo’s wallet and a laptop, had gone missing, raising the possibility of a botched robbery.

The terrible death of Mr. Samuel Kudzo has left the community in mourning, with many calling for immediate action from the authorities.
