Veteran football executive Nana Fitz has delivered a harsh critique of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), expressing deep disappointment and frustration with the organization’s leadership and handling of key issues.

Speaking out against Ghana’s football governing body, Fitz labelled the GFA a failure and criticized its inability to address the persistent challenges plaguing the country’s football.

He also attributed the deteriorating state of football in Ghana to a ‘lack of integrity’.

“The truth is, I do not have time to massage the truth when it comes to football. The league is not flourishing because of a lack of integrity. The FA has failed us,” he told Asempa FM.

“There is no league where administrators of the competition are allowed to participate by owning clubs,” he said.

Fitz’s criticism adds to the mounting pressure on the GFA as calls for reforms continue to grow.

The Ghana Premier League (GPL) has faced significant setbacks in recent years, including a lack of headline sponsors, no dedicated broadcaster, and poor organization.

The deterioration of the GPL, coupled with the poor form of the Black Stars, has drawn widespread criticism from citizens, many of whom are urging the GFA to implement changes to revive football in the country.
