Nsiah Boakye Andrews, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) secretary for the Ashanti Region’s Offinso South Constituency, is recuperating from wounds he received in an assault that was allegedly planned by Joe Sala, the constituency chairman, and several other people.

Mr. Boakye Andrews was allegedly beaten at the NPP Constituency office on Tuesday morning on account of his use of a party-branded vehicle.

The issue, according to sources, revolved around a brand-new pickup truck that the party’s national executives donated during the general elections in 2024.

According to reports, Mr. Boakye Andrews allegedly refused to comply with the party leadership’s demand that the vehicle be returned after the elections.

A number of people, including the Chairman, locked the party office and confronted the Secretary as tensions increased.

Due to the intense nature of the altercation, Mr. Boakye Andrews sustained serious injuries.

Currently, he is being treated at a nearby hospital.

Within the party, the episode has sparked worries and demands for a comprehensive investigation to guarantee accountability and stop future conflicts.
