Popular Ghanaian pastor, Nicholas Osei, popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha, has cautioned former Black Stars player Asamoah Gyan over his comments alleging that the recent fire outbreak at Kantamanto was caused by one of the two major political parties in the country.

In a video shared on social media, Kumchacha noted that the comment from Asamoah Gyan is unwarranted and, therefore, he should render an apology to the victims who were affected by the incident.

“Asamoah, shut up! Stop what you are doing. How can you come on social media in a singlet and make such utterances? How can you make politics out of this issue? There is no sense in what you said online,” he said.

    Background:

On January 2, 2025, Asamoah Gyan took to his social media to suggest that the recent Kantamanto fire outbreak may have been politically motivated.

In a passionate outburst, Gyan suggested that the incident could have been orchestrated by either the New Patriotic Party (NPP) or the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for political reasons.

Explaining the potential motives of the two main political parties, Gyan alleged that the NDC might have started the fire as part of a strategy to begin a new project in the area without directly displacing traders.
