President-elect John Dramani Mahama has extended invitations to Congolese President Denis Sassou Nguesso, and President Félix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo, to attend his inauguration on Tuesday, January 7, in Accra.

He extended the invitation during courtesy calls on President Nguesso in Brazzaville, and President Tshisekedi in Kinshasa.

“My objective during my visit to various leaders to thank them and invite them to the #MahamaInauguration on January 7, was to promote good neighbourliness and the benefits of a better interconnected and integrated continent,” Mr Mahama said.

He expressed gratitude to presidents Nguesso and Tshisekedi for their warm hospitality and engaging discussions, saying he looked forward to welcoming them to Accra.
