Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has lauded Justice Blay’s vital contributions to the club, both on and off the pitch, as the midfielder extends his stay with the Porcupine Warriors until 2026.

Blay’s previous contract was set to expire in January 2025, but the new deal secures the services of the 32-year-old, whose experience and leadership have been invaluable to the team.

“Justice brings so much to the team both on and off the pitch. His extension is great news for all of us.”

Blay joined Kotoko on loan during the 2019/2020 season from Medeama SC, quickly establishing himself with two goals in 12 appearances.

His outstanding displays earned him a permanent move in the 2021/2022 season. Since then, he has become a linchpin in the midfield, racking up 56 league appearances.

This season, Blay has featured in 12 out of 15 Ghana Premier League matches, scoring once. Known for his tenacity and leadership, he remains a fan favourite and a cornerstone of the team.

Retaining Blay solidifies Kotoko’s midfield while ensuring his experience and influence continue to propel the club toward its goals.
