Accra Hearts of Oak host city rivals Legon Cities at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on matchday 16 of the Ghana Premier League.

Comparatively, the Phobians are favourites due to a good run of form that has seen them climb to 6th on the league log.

The home side is looking to extend their winning streak to three games, which will be their fourth victory in six games. They have lost one and drawn one, winning three of their last five matches.

They have a good home record, with their last defeat dating back to October 2024, when they lost 0-1 to Bibiani Gold Stars.

Despite their good form, they have not beaten Legon Cities in the last six meetings. Hearts of Oak’s last win over their city rivals came in June 2021.

Meanwhile, Legon Cities, who are having a poor season, are on a four-game losing streak and would want to end the unwanted run against Hearts of Oak.

Cities are the last place team on the table with just 11 points, picking up 3 wins from 15 games.
