English giants Liverpool have shortlisted Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo as one of their top transfer targets.

Semenyo has had a blistering start to the 2024/25 season for Bournemouth, already scoring five Premier League goals.

According to Sky Sports, this impressive performance has put the 24-year-old on Liverpool’s radar as they look to bolster their attacking options.

In addition to Semenyo, Liverpool is also pursuing Brentford’s Cameroonian forward Bryan Mbeumo.

Reports from Merseyside suggest that Liverpool has dropped their interest in Eintracht Frankfurt star Omar Marmoush, who had been monitored by the 19-time Premier League champions.

Liverpool’s close monitoring of Semenyo throughout 2024 has convinced them to prioritise the Cherries forward over Marmoush, despite the latter’s remarkable tally of 20 goal involvements in 15 league appearances this season.

Bournemouth has reportedly valued Semenyo at £70 million—a price that deterred Arsenal during their earlier approach for the forward.

It remains uncertain whether Liverpool will be willing to meet this figure for the versatile attacker, whose contract runs until 2029.

Since joining Bournemouth in 2023, Semenyo has made 66 appearances and scored 16 goals.
