Ten police officers who sued to prevent their transfers by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, have formally dropped their action.

The officers informed the court of their decision and reserved the right to reapply in the future if required.

This development temporarily halts their legal appeal to the Police Administration’s instruction.

The cops, led by Sergeant David Ojeyim, initially sought a court injunction preventing them from being transferred from their current positions.

They maintained that the transfer command was arbitrary and without explanation.

The officers complained that the decision jeopardized their professional stability and did not follow the police service’s established administrative protocols.

Sergeants Prince Owusu Fayosey, Seidu Essilfie, Alex Abah, Corporal John Yao Adzimagbor, Michael Kwasi Avuyi, Huudu Muhammed Wumbe, Kabiru Mohammed, Hannah Antwi-Boasiako, and IC/Inspector Alexander Odoi are among the famous members of the gang.

They expressed worry over the transparency and fairness of the transfer procedure, seeking accountability from the Police administration.

Despite the fact that the matter has been closed, the officers’ intention to reapply demonstrates a persistent desire for justice, in their opinion.
