Nigeria defeated Ghana with a resounding win to qualify for the 2024 CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).

A strong first-half showing inspired the Super Eagles B to a dominant 3-1 victory in the second-leg match in Uyo on Saturday, December 28, 2024, ensuring their qualification for the 2024 CHAN tournament.

The home team sealed the result within the first 27 minutes, scoring three goals against Ghana.

Nigeria breached Ghana’s high defensive line to score the opening goal in the 17th minute and doubled their lead just three minutes later from a well-executed corner kick.

The Super Eagles B extended their lead in the 25th minute, taking advantage of a defensive error.

Ghana managed to reduce the deficit in the second half with a goal from Stephen Amankona but ultimately fell short.

With a 3-1 aggregate victory, Nigeria has qualified for the CHAN tournament for the first time in six years.

The 2024 CHAN tournament is set to be held across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in 2025.
