    Ghanaian boxer Abubakar Kamoko, well known as Ambitious Tilapia, has stated that he is one of the most recognizable faces in Ghana boxing at the moment.

    According to him, despite his relatively younger age and short exploits in the profession, he is able to draw crowds to match venues due to his charismatic nature.

    The 21-year-old, who is the son of former boxer Braimah Kamoko, well known as Bukom Banku, indicated that he considers himself the best and most marketable boxer in Ghana.

    Speaking in an interview with 3Sports, Ambitious Tilapia viewed himself as the boxing version of dancehall musician Shatta Wale.

    “I am the face of Ghana boxing. For example, many big artistes have won BET awards, but Shatta Wale hasn’t, yet he can fill a stadium. I can fill the Bukom Arena several times. I am the best,” he said.

    The boxer, who won a silver medal during the 2023 African Games hosted in Ghana, noted that his father’s achievements in the boxing fraternity inspire him to aim higher.

    “My father is my boxing idol. He won bronze in the African Games, but I won silver. It makes me proud whenever he cheers me on,” he added.
