    News of popular Afrobeats singer Asake leaving his record label, YBNL has taken the internet by storm and has led to speculations amongst the fans of the singer.

    The news of his departure arose when the artist unfollowed Olamide, his record label boss on Instagram. And was further reinforced by the prominent entertainment gossip blogger, Cutie Juls.

    An insider revealed that Asake who had initially signed to YBNL in 2022, had reached the end of his contract and is looking to leave his current record label to create his own.

    Cutie also revealed that Olamide the head of YBNL, had put considerable effort into persuading Asake to continue with YBNL, still the latter is set on leaving and becoming independent and has already bowed out of negotiations.

    The blogger revealed more details of the situation in a post he made which read;

     “Asake leaves YBNL and dumps OLAMIDE. Insiders says Asake’s contract with Olamide’s YBNL expired and when OLAMIDE presented Asake with a new contract, Asake refused to sign”.

    “OLAMIDE apparently tried everything in his books to renew his record label with Asake but Asake refused”.

    “The final straw happened two [2] weeks ago when Asake walked out completely out of the deal opting to be his own boss”.

    “Hopefully they will be able to resolve and get Asake to stay”.

    “As it is now, OLAMIDE is looking for new artists“?Hmmm 👩‍🦯”.

    The news has caused a stir among fans of Asake and Olamide, wondering how this decision will affect the relationship of the two, and hoping that everything ends amicably.
