The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has issued a notice regarding the re-opening dates for the 2024/2025 academic year. This notice is intended for the general public, particularly students and parents.
According to the notice, the Executive Committee of KNUST held an emergency meeting on December 24, 2024, to discuss and agree on the re-opening dates. The committee made several key decisions regarding the re-opening schedule.
Prospective first-year undergraduate Ghanaian students will receive a new re-opening date after the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results. This means that these students will have to wait for the WASSCE results to be released before they can report to campus.
International students who have been offered admission for the 2024/2025 academic year are expected to report to campus on January 4, 2025, as previously scheduled. This date remains unchanged, and international students are advised to make the necessary arrangements to report to campus on time.
First-year postgraduate students are also expected to report to campus on January 4, 2025, as scheduled. This date applies to all first-year postgraduate students, regardless of their program or department.
Continuing students, including both undergraduate and postgraduate students, are expected to report to campus on January 11, 2025, as scheduled. This date remains unchanged, and continuing students are advised to make the necessary arrangements to report to campus on time.
KNUST has entreated the general public to take note of these re-opening dates and make the necessary arrangements accordingly. Students and parents are advised to check the university’s website or contact the relevant authorities for further information.
The notice from KNUST serves as a reminder to students and parents to plan ahead and make the necessary arrangements for the re-opening of the university. With the re-opening dates now confirmed, students can look forward to a new academic year and the opportunities that it will bring.
