A man was shocked to see his food presented on a shovel-shaped plate at a fancy restaurant, leaving him wondering if he wasn’t civilized.

In a video shared online, the man @bobbyjohker kept wondering whether he was too local as he tried adjusting to the meal’s presentation which appeared strange.

As shown in the video, his rice dish came with a bowl of pepper soup, a smoothie drink, and a distinctive plate that resembled a shovel.

Many wondered if the restaurant was managed by a retired bricklayer who thought it would be interesting to serve food at a nice restaurant using construction tools.

Internet users have contrasted the distinctive plate with other similar home objects. Netizens claimed most restaurants go beyond the norm to promote aesthetics but fail to deliver quality meals.
