A horrific incident has occurred in the Mpohor District of the Western Region, where a 30-year-old undertaker, Joseph Ankomah, was brutally beaten and burnt alive by a mob. The incident is alleged to be in connection with the undertaker’s confession to killing a 23-year-old mobile money vendor, Diana Mensah.

According to reports, Diana Mensah had gone missing for three days, and her lifeless body was later discovered at the community center. This led to suspicions and outrage among community members, who eventually traced the crime to Joseph Ankomah’s residence.

Upon searching Ankomah’s house, community members found items that suggested he was involved in money rituals. When interrogated, Ankomah allegedly confessed to killing Diana Mensah for ritual purposes. This confession sparked widespread anger and outrage among community members.

In a shocking turn of events, the mob turned on Ankomah, brutally beating him before setting him ablaze with car tires. Images from the scene show Ankomah’s lifeless body in a pool of blood, with Diana Mensah’s remains placed beside him.

The Mpohor District Police Command has initiated investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident. The remains of both Diana Mensah and Joseph Ankomah have been deposited at the morgue for further examination.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many residents expressing outrage and sadness over the senseless killing of Diana Mensah. The brutal mob justice meted out to Ankomah has also raised concerns about the rule of law and the need for justice to be served through the courts.

The police are urging calm and caution, as they work to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident. The incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers of mob justice and the need for communities to work with law enforcement agencies to ensure justice is served.

As the community comes to terms with the tragic events, there are calls for greater awareness and education about the dangers of ritual killings and the importance of upholding the rule of law.
