Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Berekum Chelsea 3-1 in match week 14 of the Ghana Premier League at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on December 20, 2024.
Ahmed Ramzy Yussif scored the first goal in the 16th minute for the Phobians before striker Hamzah Issah added the second goal early in the second half.
Berekum Chelsea then returned to the game after Emmanuel Sarpong pulled one back for them as they eyed an equalizer.
However, they could not sustain the momentum as Kwabena Boateng netted the third goal to give the Phobians a comfortable lead in the 62nd minute.
With this result, Hearts of Oak have moved up to fifth on the league table with 22 points, trailing league leaders Hearts of Lions by two points.
Head coach Aboubakar Quattara, during his post-match press conference, lauded his squad for their impressive performance and urged them to maintain consistency in the subsequent games.
